Hi Flying Fish Families,

Thank you to all of our swimmers and wonderful families. I hope everyone had a fun time wrapping up the school year. A few final reminders and information as we approach our meet season:

Practices - Afternoon practices are now finished. Starting Thursday 5/27, all practices will be in the morning 9:00-10:00 (ages 6 & under), 10:00-11:00 (ages 7-10), and 11:00-12:00 (ages 11 & up). There will be no practice Monday 5/31 for Memorial Day.

Time Trials - Our Time Trial meet is tomorrow 5/27. Warmups will begin at 5:15, and the swim events will begin at 6:00. We ask that all swim team members please attend. This is a fun and important event where our coaches will get to evaluate the kids and the kids get to practice what a meet environment will be like.  For swimmers that are not quite up to swimming a full length by themselves, the coaches will assist them in the water.  We will also run a fun race with our 4 year-olds to kick things off assisted by the coaches.  Attached is a copy of the Heat Sheet by Event number and a second copy sorted by swimmer.  Since this is a practice meet, we will not swim the longer events or relays.  Therefore we will be skipping some events in the numbering and start the meet at event #11.  Coaches will be available before the meet to help kids find and understand what events they are swimming.

Concessions -  Concessions will be available during the Time Trials, but scaled back compared to previous seasons.  We will be selling whole pizzas, water, and candy.  Please bring cash.

Swim Meet - Our first official meet will be next week on 6/2 at the Jefferson Township Pool.  Please go ahead now and indicate on the schedule if you will be attending and volunteer for one of the open positions.  If you do not RSVP "no" the coaches will assume you are attending and will slot you into events.
