    Time Trials

    Hello Flying Fish Families,

TOMORROW is our Time Trials event, and I am very much looking forward to seeing all our swimmers especially those that are trying out new strokes for the first time! This is a practice meet with just our team and a way to capture times in each races for each swimmer. Please remember to arrive at the pool by 5:30pm to get ready for the meet to start at 6:00pm.

For our first-time families, it is customary that the swimmers will write their events on their arms so they can track what they are swimming. The coaches will assist with this before the meet starts.

Heat Sheats: Attached to this email is the Heat sheet for the meet. This is an important document that shows the full schedule and lineups for each race. For convenience, I am also attaching a version that is organized by swimmer so you can quickly see what races your children have without looking through the whole schedule. Please keep in mind that for tonight's meet the event numbers will skip (as we are not doing long races or relays). For example, we start with event 11-12, and then we will jump to event 25. Please have your child go behind the blocks to prepare for their race at least 4 events in advance. Your child's races are also up in the SwimTopia App and you can track them in real time!

Guppy Races: Any of our 3 and 4 year-old swimmers can participate in the time-trials meet. Immediately after the first two races, we will have coaches in the water to help our littlest swimmers in a fun exhibition race!

BLUE-OUT: This time-trial meet is a blue out! Please wear your Flying Fish T-shirt or your coolest blue outfits to make this a fun night!

RSVP: For this first time-trial event, I have included everyone unless you explicitly RSVP'd no. If you have not already done so, please go ahead and submit your RSVP for the first meet next Tuesday. We will begin building the meet entries on Friday.

Concessions: Please come hungry for our award-winning concessions. You will be able to purchase food, snacks, drinks, and team t-shirts for fans. We accept cash or Zelle.

Volunteers: We are still in need of a few volunteers to run the meet, please check the website and sign-up if you can!

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions.

    Best,
