Hi Flying Fish!

It is that time of the season to start thinking about the Patti Wilder Cobb County Championship and State Qualifying Swim Meet!  This is an optional meet that takes place on Saturday, June 21 (10&unders) and Sunday, June 22 (11&ups). 

This is a really exciting meet that takes place indoors at the Mountain View Aquatic Center.  During the season, we swim against the other 5 teams in our division; however, during the Patti Wilder meet, we get to swim against all 50 teams in the entire Cobb County Swim League.  It is also a prelims/finals meet where all preliminary races are swum in the morning and the top 20 swimmers in each race return for finals races in the afternoon.  

For this meet, the swimmers get to pick what races they would like to swim and if we get enough swimmers in the age group, we will put together some relays.  The cost is $7 per individual race and $3.75 per relay race.  More information from Cobb County can be found here: 2025 Patti Wilder Swim Meet | Cobb County Georgia

For anyone that is interested in experiencing the thrill of an indoor meet with touch pads in the water in a 10-lane pool, I highly recommend this experience.  Also, our team has developed a reputation for having the most fun and sought-after hang-out spot between races, so it will be a blast in and out of the pool.
